1. EXTENSION TUBES

The use of EXTENSION TUBES, which can be installed in the top and/or bottom of the frame leg, often allows a reduction in the number of frames required for a job, by a factor of up to 50%.  This results in more efficient utilization of equipment and significant cost reductions.  Leveling time for extension tubes is far less and the leveling is more accurate than adjusting screwjacks to level when used on flat level concrete.

2. EXTENSION TUBE PLATES

secure the ends of the extension tubes or the frame legs to the aluminum stringers when a screwjack is not required.

3. U-HEADS

U-HEADS fit on either the jack or extension tube plates.  They hold the beams or timber directly over the frame legs.

4. FRAME LEGS

Hi-Lite 12 Kip frames achieve an excellent degree of height flexibility through the adjustment holes in the frame legs rather than in the extension tubes.  A screwjack fully withdrawn into the extension tube can be telescoped completely into the frame leg for a low floor and then extended to serve a much higher floor. A 12 foot high slab can be supported with one 6 foot high Hi-Lite frame, using extension tubes and screwjacks.

5. FRAME COUPLING PIN

Frame Coupling Pins connect frames one on top of another when erecting multiple-tier towers.

6. BEAM CLIPS WITH T-HEAD BOLTS

BEAM CLIPS with T-HEAD BOLTS secure one beam to another or hold components to a beam.  Note tapered head of T-bolt and bevel on beam slot to simplify alignment.  The course thread provides a non jamming nut while speeding up assembly - just spin the nut and tighten.

7. RETAINING CLAMPS

RETAINING CLAMPS come in 2 sizes.  One to secure the jack in the frame leg -- 70mm (2 3/4"), and one to secure jacks in the extension tubes -- 60mm (2 3/8").

8. ALUMINUM BEAM STRINGER OR JOIST

ALUMINUM BEAMS are used as STRINGERS and as JOISTS in various lengths up to 39 ft and in depths from 114 mm (4.5") to 216 mm (8.25").  All beams utilize 12 mm (1/2") T-bolt slot for connection purposes, and most beams incorporate a 2X2 wood nailing strip. (See beam)

9. SADDLE BEAM

Hi-Lite's aluminum SADDLE BEAMS will save many man hours on drop beam concrete construction, by enabling the soffit of the drop beams to be supported at one level and the slab at another level, thus enabling the slab support to be removed without disturbing the support under the drop beams.  The saddle beams are often made from pre-used 165mm (6.5") aluminum beams while utilizing our special saddle beam ends.

10. EXTENSION TUBE SUPPORT PIN (U-PIN)

EXTENSION TUBE SUPPORT PINS (U-PINS) support and lock extension tubes within frame legs, or they can be used to lock frames together through the frame coupling pins.

11. JET LOCKS

A stainless steel spring loaded lock connects the braces to the frames, enabling the braces to snap on.  Press lever to remove.  Field replaceable, holds 4 braces.

12. CROSS BRACES

Cross Braces are made of galvanized high-tensile steel tubing with a special replaceable hinge pin designed for replacing one arm and for rugged duty.

13. SCREWJACK

The Hi-Lite SCREWJACK has a completely maintenance free high tensile steel shaft with a rolled thread, which results in major cost savings, compared to the expensive and time-consuming maintenance of machine thread screwjacks.  This assures the contractor of receiving screwjacks that work, and, as they can be set at least 5 times faster, a great deal of erection time is also saved. Available with fixed or swivel heads as shown.
